Learn to Skate / Learn to Play

Learn to Skate

This program is designed for kids who are new to skating and to the game of hockey. The goal of the LTS program is to introduce players to the fundamentals of skating so that they may become comfortable and confident on the ice. Players will be taught skating basics thru a variety of age-appropriate drills and games, with an emphasis on having fun.

Learn to Play

This program is designed for kids who possess basic skating skills and have generally completed 1-2 years of LTS. The focus of the LTP program is to continue to build on a players skating abilities and start to introduce fundamental hockey concepts consistent with USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM), such as puck control, passing/receiving, and shooting. The emphasis is on creating a positive environment for kids to have fun and further develop their interest in the game of hockey.
